Shared here are time-lapse videos of some of my paintings.

I revisited a previous portrait and took it to finish. Done over the course of a couple days. I painted it on an aluminum panel. You can find them here: http://www.ebay.com/usr/lyonartssupply This portrait was done with Flake White, Cad Lemon Yellow, Yellow Ochre, Vermillion and Van Dyke Brown.

Here is a time-lapse of my painting "Mana Confluence" done as part of the Zendikar Expeditions and included in the Oath of the Gatewatch release of Magic: the Gathering. The painting was done in oils and is 16"x20" on panel.

Oil study done in preparation for a larger piece.

Another little study done in preparation for a larger painting. It is 8"x10" done on wood panel. It was done in one sitting, and isn't as refined as the final painting will be. These are great practice.

Time lapse of my painting, "Feed My Sheep". An 11 x 14 oil painting on wood panel. Music is "Sonata for Cello and Piano no. 1 in E Minor" by Brahms, performed by Wendy Warner, cello and Eileen Buck, piano.

Each morning for an hour or so, in my efforts to continue to improve, I do a little study, either painting or drawing. I did this over a couple days. It is a painting of my daughter as Persephone in the autumn, as she gets ready to leave the world for the underworld.

The song playing is my daughter's performance, covering the song "The Woods" originally performed by Sea of Bees. Her cover can be purchased on iTunes: Search for Belle Jewel, The Woods.

An oil painting sketch time-lapse, done as a study for another painting.

Oil sketch, 6' x 8". I do these sketches to learn and improve. This time I used a little different palette than normal. I used Pyrol Red, Cad Yellow, Cad Orange, Alizarin Crimson, Mars Black, Ultramarine Blue and Flake White. I found it much harder to keep the colors clean, but am still happy with it.

A painting of a great dog. Charlie the King Charles Spaniel who died last year.

Oil Sketch, 8"x9" on linen of Hannah. Music by Vivaldi, "Winter".
